One royal marriage that you may not have known about, but should definitely have on your radar this week, is that of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. It was their marriage on October 12, 1810, that kicked off what is today the world’s largest fair: Oktoberfest.

In a culture that often prioritizes work over family and relaxation time, it’s no wonder that significant numbers of Americans do not take all of their allotted vacation days, even if they only get a week!
